Are you passionate about supporting students whose first language isn't English?
We are seeking a dedicated EAL Teaching Assistant to join our team at a welcoming and inclusive school in Solihull. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young people from diverse cultural backgrounds and can help students thrive in an English-speaking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to EAL students in the classroom, helping them develop their English language skills.
Assist students on a one-to-one or small group basis, supporting their integration into lessons and school life.
Work with teaching staff to adapt learning materials and strategies to support EAL learners.
Foster a positive, inclusive environment for EAL students, encouraging confidence in using English both in class and socially.
Help students overcome cultural and language barriers, promoting both academic and personal development.
Who We're Looking For:
Previous experience supporting EAL students in an educational setting is preferred.
Ability to speak one or more of the following languages: Polish, Bulgarian, or Romanian (preferred but not required).
A friendly, patient, and approachable attitude, with a passion for helping students from diverse backgrounds.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and other staff.
Enthusiasm for supporting students in their academic and personal growth.
