About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring that lessons continue to run smoothly in the absence of teaching staff. You will supervise classes, ensuring students stay on task and complete the work set, while providing additional support as needed. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for education, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude towards student development.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise students in classrooms during the absence of their regular teacher.
Ensure students remain on task and complete the set work in a timely manner.
Support students with any questions or difficulties they may have regarding the lesson.
Manage classroom behavior in line with the school's policies, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
Assist with administrative tasks, such as preparing materials or setting up classroom activities.
Support teachers with general classroom management and student welfare.
Build strong relationships with students, encouraging them to engage with the lesson and develop their learning.
About You:
Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting (though not essential).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support students.
A proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach to work.
A positive attitude and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
A commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
