Computer Science Teacher (ASAP Start) - BlackburnAspire People are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to join their secondary school in Blackburn on a full-time, long-term basis, starting ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students in a subject that is becoming increasingly important in today's digital world.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the ongoing development of the Computer Science curriculum by producing, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work.
Deliver high-quality, well-planned lessons in a challenging and purposeful learning environment.
Use technology and self-directed learning approaches to enhance student engagement and learning.
Utilise assessment data to inform and plan effective lessons.
Set and mark homework in a timely manner, providing constructive feedback.
Manage classroom behaviour to create a constructive learning environment.
Ensure a high standard of teaching and learning is consistently maintained.
Respond effectively to student questioning and address immediate problems or emergencies in line with school policy and procedures.
Preferred Skills:
Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive and productive environment.
Motivated, enthusiastic, and an inspiring communicator.
Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experiences and engage students.
Experience managing pupil behaviour in line with school expectations.
An ideal candidate will need:
Genuine passion for teaching and motivating students to achieve their best.
Experience teaching Computer Science up to Key Stage 3 and 4.
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or an equivalent qualification.
Flexible, reliable, and committed to the success of all students.
Additional Information:
