Behaviour and Attendance MentorLocation: Bury
Contract: Fixed-term (maternity cover) - Term time only, 37 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
Salary Range: £23,500 - £26,000 (Actual annual salary)
About the Role
Aspire People is seeking a dedicated Behaviour and Attendance Mentor to join a dynamic educational setting on a fixed-term basis covering maternity leave. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting young people with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and supervise pupils who may present with challenging behaviour or SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs.
- Deliver targeted attendance interventions to support students with persistent or serious absenteeism.
- Facilitate restorative practice sessions and maintain the reflection or reset room.
- Contribute to behaviour and safeguarding investigations where needed.
- Collaborate effectively with staff, families, and external agencies to support student wellbeing and academic progress.
