SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School📍 Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
🕒 Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
📅 Start Date: ASAP
💰 Salary: £90 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? We are looking for a caring, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and nurturing mainstream primary school in Northampton.
This role involves working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive both socially and academically.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with SEN
-Implement personalised learning strategies and interventions
-Work collaboratively with teachers and external professionals
-Monitor and record pupil progress
-Promote inclusion and encourage independence
We're Looking For Someone Who:
-Has experience supporting children with SEN (in education or care settings)
-Is calm, compassionate, and resilient
-Can build positive relationships with children and staff
-Is flexible, proactive, and a team player
-Has good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
-Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) - desirable but not essential
