We’re aware that some may feel a bit doom and gloom as they think they are stuck with their family…but that’s not the case! It's a perfect chance to have some essential family time and to work on yourself. We’ve got a few ideas for you to entertain yourself with during your time at home!

1. Play Games with Family

It’s time to get out the monopoly that’s been hidden away for years, get everyone around the table and start the games! We all have board games hidden away somewhere and if not there’s lots of easy ways to entertain yourselves on your phones or tablet devices. Heads up is a simple way of gathering everyone and having lots of fun together, it’s available here on the app store and the google play store! There are also many more free and paid games to download for your phones!

2.  Exercise

Doing exercise is an easy way to keep yourself entertained, it is also very good for your mental and physical health. You can easily fit exercise into your daily routine, whether you chose to spend lots of time exercising or a short time it is very beneficial to you. You can easily find online classes to follow or talk to friends and family to create plans for you to follow.

3.  Find a Good Watch

Some may say they don’t want to spend their time in front of the tv, but everyone loves a good film or series, right? It’s also an easy way to occupy your time in a fun way! A simple Google search can help you to find some new films or maybe just re-watch a classic.

4.  Expand Your Knowledge

This is the perfect opportunity to learn new things, read books and generally gain more knowledge. You now have the time to pick up that book or research something you have always wanted to learn about!

5.  Keep in Contact with Friends, Family and Loved Ones

Despite not being able to physically see or talk to the people around you, you can easily keep in contact with them. Perhaps with a phone call, text or Facetime. We've also found a good alternative for everyone who wants to video talk to numerous people. It’s important to ensure these people are okay, it’s also beneficial to socialise with them for your own sake! So please check on people and keep in contact as much as you can.

Finally, we just want to say, stay home and stay safe unless your journey is necessary. Make the most of your time at home and most of all have some fun! Let us know how you will be spending your time, maybe you’ve found some more activities to do? Share them with other teaching and non-teaching staff as we want to help as many people as we can! Team Aspire is also still here to help and support you through this time, contact us today or send us a message!
