Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant school in Coventry. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2). This is a full-time position, offered through Aspire People, and will commence as soon as possible, running until the end of the academic year.
Requirements:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential.
Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service is required. Candidates without this must be willing to obtain one prior to commencement.
Demonstrated experience working one-on-one with students, providing tailored support to meet their individual learning needs.
Flexibility and adaptability to work across both KS1 and KS2 environments.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to assist in the planning and delivery of educational activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
A proactive and positive attitude towards supporting the inclusive ethos of the school.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and small group support to students, reinforcing learning concepts introduced by the class teacher.
Assist in the preparation and delivery of educational materials and resources, ensuring they are age-appropriate and accessible to all students.
Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and those requiring additional pastoral care, promoting their social and emotional development.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging student participation and engagement in classroom activities.
Collaborate closely with the class teacher and other members of the school staff to monitor student progress and identify areas for further support or intervention.
Maintain accurate records of student achievement and behavior, contributing to the assessment and reporting process as required.
