Job description
**Year 1 Class Teacher - Primary School**Aspire People are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated **Year 1 Class Teacher** to join a supportive and welcoming primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys supporting pupils as they transition from **EYFS into Key Stage 1**, building strong foundations in phonics, literacy, and numeracy.
The school has a strong leadership team, excellent resources, and a collaborative environment where staff are supported to succeed.
**The Role:**
* Full class teacher responsibilities including planning, preparation, and assessment
* Delivering engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
* Supporting early reading, writing, and phonics development
* Creating a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
* Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
* Working closely with teaching assistants and year group staff
**The Ideal Candidate:**
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching in KS1 or strong understanding of Year 1 expectations
* Confidence delivering phonics sessions
* Strong classroom management skills
* Enthusiastic, organised, and passionate about teaching
