Are you a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children or young people with additional learning needs?
We're recruiting a dedicated Welsh Speaking ALN Teaching Assistant for opportunities across Torfaen. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ALN TA or someone with transferable experience who is passionate about helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and learning.
The Role
🧩 Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with ALN
🏴 Support pupils through the medium of Welsh where required
📚 Assist teachers with learning activities and classroom routines
🌟 Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence
🤝 Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff
📝 Support pupils to access learning and reach their individual goals

✅ Fluent Welsh speaker - essential
✅ Experience working with children or young people is essential
✅ ALN/SEND experience is desirable

✅ Strong communication and relationship-building skills
✅ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
