**Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary School****September 2026 | Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunities | Aspire People**
With schools preparing to reopen, Aspire People are currently recruiting **experienced SEND Teaching Assistants** to support primary schools from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who has genuine experience supporting pupils with additional needs and wants to secure a rewarding role for the new academic year.
The schools we work with are looking for practitioners who can provide consistent 1:1 and small-group support while helping pupils access learning, develop independence and feel confident within the school environment.
**The Role:**
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
* Supporting children with Autism, ADHD, communication and learning needs
* Helping pupils access the curriculum through differentiated activities
* Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
* Delivering targeted interventions where required
* Working alongside class teachers and SENCOs
* Supporting pupils during lessons, breaktimes and transitions
* Encouraging independence, confidence and social development
* Recording and feeding back on pupil progress
**We're Looking For:**
* Recent experience supporting pupils with SEND
* Previous experience within a UK primary school
* Strong understanding of individualised SEND support
* Calm, patient and consistent approach
* Confident managing challenging behaviour
* Excellent relationship-building skills
* Strong communication and teamwork
A **Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification** would be advantageous, alongside experience supporting pupils with more complex needs.
