Aspire People are proud to be supporting a welcoming and forward-thinking mainstream Secondary School in Bury, who are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated SEND team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference to young people with a wide range of additional needs.
✨ About the Role
We are looking for a confident, nurturing SEN TA with experience supporting pupils with:
- ASC
- ADHD
- Complex Needs
- SEMH
- Behaviour that challenges
The ideal candidate will have Team Teach, MAPA, or similar de-escalation and distraction training, with the ability to remain calm, positive, and solution-focused when supporting pupils who require additional regulation or behaviour support.
You'll work closely with the school's incredible SEND department-known for its family feel, supportive culture, and commitment to making sure every child receives the resources and personalised support they need to reach their full potential.

- Confidence using de-escalation and behaviour-support strategies

- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young people
- Team Teach, MAPA, or equivalent training (essential)
