We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive Primary SEN school in Rochdale.
This specialist primary setting caters for pupils with a range of complex needs, providing a highly supportive and nurturing environment where every child is valued as an individual.
The school is well-regarded for its child-centred approach, strong pastoral care, and commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences tailored to each pupil.
Staff work closely together to ensure consistency, structure, and encouragement are at the core of each day.
SEN Teaching Assistant - About the Role:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs
* Assist in delivering personalised learning programmes designed to meet individual needs
* Support children with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs
* Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
SEN Teaching Assistant - What We're Looking For:
* Experience working with children, ideally within an SEN or specialist primary setting
* A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting learning and behaviour with an outgoing personality.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for working with children with additional needs
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
