Pastoral Manager - Quinton, BirminghamSeptember 2026 - June 2027
Aspire People are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Manager to join a welcoming primary school in Quinton on a full-time basis. This is a maternity cover position commencing in September 2026 and continuing until June 2027.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting children's emotional wellbeing, attendance, behaviour, and overall school experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring pupils receive the pastoral support they need to thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver and lead nurture group sessions to support pupils' social and emotional development.
* Work closely with children to help resolve conflicts and develop positive relationships.
* Meet with parents and carers to discuss concerns, attendance issues, and barriers to learning.
* Provide pastoral support during breakfast club sessions.
* Support and facilitate lunchtime nurture and intervention groups.
* Work collaboratively with school staff, families, and external agencies where required.
* Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement across the school.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience in a pastoral, behaviour, family support, safeguarding, mentoring, or similar role within an educational setting.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Experience supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
* A nurturing and empathetic approach, alongside the ability to maintain professional boundaries.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
