**Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Primary School****September 2026 | Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunities | Aspire People**
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in your career?
Aspire People are currently recruiting **Higher Level Teaching Assistants** to support primary schools from September 2026.
We're looking for confident practitioners who can take on additional responsibility within the classroom, support teachers with learning and behaviour, deliver interventions and provide whole-class cover when required.
This could suit an experienced HLTA or a **Level 3 Teaching Assistant with the experience and confidence to take on a higher level of responsibility**.
**The Role May Include:**
* Providing whole-class cover when required
* Delivering planned lessons and learning activities
* Leading 1:1 and small-group interventions
* Supporting teachers with classroom organisation and preparation
* Working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 depending on experience
* Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs
* Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback
* Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
* Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
* Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and wider school staff
**We're Looking For:**
* HLTA qualification or strong equivalent experience
* Recent experience working within a UK primary school
* Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
* Confident classroom and behaviour management
* Ability to work independently and use initiative
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A proactive and professional approach
