Job Title: MFL (French and German) Cover Teacher - February 2026Location: Peterborough
Contract: Maternity Cover
Start Date: February 2026
Pay Rate: £170 - £235 per day
About the Role:
Aspire People is seeking an enthusiastic and committed MFL (Modern Foreign Languages) teacher for French and German to cover a maternity leave at a secondary school in Peterborough starting February 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, maintaining an engaging and supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach French and German to students of varying abilities.
Create and deliver engaging, differentiated lesson plans.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with the MFL department and other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning.
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge in both French and German.
Previous experience teaching French and German at secondary level.
Passionate about languages and committed to delivering an engaging curriculum.
Excellent classroom management skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their best.
Flexibility and adaptability to the school's needs.
Requirements:
You must be willing to purchase and process a new DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check if you don't already have one on the update service.
Availability from February 2026 onwards.
