Job description
Aspire People are currently looking for Level 3 Teaching Assistants for a Key Stage 2 intervention roles at a primary school based Great Barr.This lovely school in Great Barr is operating a SEND Hub in school which is staffed by a teacher (SENDCo) and a number of TAs. Pupils are from a mixture of year groups across Key Stage 2.
The school has additional top-up funding for some of our SEND pupils and so are looking to recruit a Level 3 TA experienced in cognition and learning for pupils across Key Stage 2.
Having experience in teaching phonics - Letters and Sounds - would be important, as would an understanding of how SEND support plans, the plan-do-review process works. Some experience in taking responsibilities for interventions and precision teaching would also be an advantage.
The role would require flexibility but would not involve teaching groups of more than 4 or 5 pupils at any one time. There could be a requirement to work outside the SEND Hub at times, if some of our pupils go back into their year groups in afternoons and require support to access mainstream curriculum.

*Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant
*Experience working with SEND children (at least 6 months)
*Relevant experience across KS2
*Strong behaviour management
*Be able to provide 2 years references
*Clean DBS
