We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a positive impact on the education and wellbeing of our pupils.
Role Overview:
As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside our experienced class teachers to support the learning and development of students in Years 3 to 6. Your role will involve assisting in the delivery of lessons, supporting children on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. You will play a key part in encouraging students to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons that meet the needs of all learners
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with varying learning needs
Support children with behavioural or emotional needs, using effective strategies to promote positive behaviour
Help with classroom management, ensuring that the learning environment is safe, inclusive, and well-organised
Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback to the teacher as needed
Support the preparation of classroom resources and displays
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to ensure effective communication and support for each child's development
Key Requirements:
A passion for working with children and a genuine desire to help them succeed
Previous experience working with children, ideally in a Key Stage 2 setting
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable but not essential
A good understanding of the National Curriculum and age-appropriate teaching strategies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
