Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Governance and Compliance Officer to join our central support team. This temp-to-perm opportunity is ideal for a candidate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of interpreting complex regulations and developing effective compliance strategies.As a Governance and Compliance Officer, you will support the Governance and Compliance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our organisation adheres to industry regulations and internal policies. You will need to analyse large volumes of data, identify patterns, and provide insights that drive informed decision-making to mitigate potential risks. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise will help safeguard the integrity and compliance of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements, ensuring all business practices comply with relevant laws and standards.
Minute meetings.
Analyse large datasets to identify trends and potential areas of risk.
Develop and implement compliance strategies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to governance frameworks.
Conduct regular audits and compliance reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
Provide advice and guidance to internal teams on governance and compliance matters.
Prepare and present reports on compliance findings, risks, and recommendations for senior management.
Keep up-to-date with changes in regulations, laws, and best practices affecting the organisation.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience in governance, compliance, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and manage large datasets.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
Ability to identify trends, make informed decisions, and develop strategies that minimise risk.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
An Enhanced DBS is required for this role (or willingness to obtain one).
