Job Title: Nursery Practitioner - Bank Staff / Part-Time / SupplyLocation: Bedford (MK41)
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: £12.50 - £15.50 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Are you looking for flexible hours in a friendly and supportive nursery setting? Whether you're newly qualified or an experienced practitioner, we're seeking enthusiastic bank staff and part-time Nursery Practitioners to provide high-quality cover across Early Years settings in Bedford.
You'll be working in a welcoming nursery that prides themselves on offering a true 'home from home' experience for children aged 3 months to 5 years, including those with additional needs. Perfect for those wanting variety, work-life balance, or to gain experience across different environments.
Your Role Will Involve:
* Stepping in to support teams as needed, including last-minute or planned cover
* Delivering fun, engaging activities based on the EYFS
* Supporting children's learning, development, and daily routines
* Getting involved in play, songs, stories, outdoor learning, and more
* Creating warm, positive relationships with children and staff
* Maintaining high standards of care, safety, and safeguarding
What We're Looking For:
* Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification - candidates with proven UK experience within Nursery settings will be considered
* A caring, proactive, and flexible attitude
* Sound knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures
* Experience in a nursery or childcare setting (preferred)
* Reliability and enthusiasm - ready to jump in and support where needed
