About the Role:
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Derby, where we are committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports every child's growth and development. We believe in making learning engaging and accessible from the very beginning, and we are now seeking an enthusiastic and caring Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to work closely with our Reception classes.

Role Overview:
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will support the learning and development of children in the Early Years setting. Working alongside the class teacher, you will help create a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment where children can explore, play, and learn. Your role will involve assisting with classroom activities, providing individual and group support, and encouraging children's social, emotional, and academic development.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities
Work with children individually and in small groups to support their learning and development
Promote children's social, emotional, and physical development through play-based learning
Ensure the classroom is a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment
Help children develop their communication, language, and literacy skills
Track and monitor children's progress and provide feedback to the teacher
Foster positive behaviour and help build children's self-confidence and independence
Engage with parents and carers to share progress and support children's well-being
Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing resources and maintaining learning records
Support with personal care routines as required

Key Requirements:

A passion for working with young children and a desire to support their early development
Previous experience working with children in an EYFS setting is desirable but not essential
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is preferred
Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
A nurturing and patient approach, with the ability to adapt to children's individual needs
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

What We Offer:

A friendly and supportive team of staff
Opportunities for professional development and training
A chance to make a positive impact on the early education of young learners
Competitive salary, dependent on experience
A welcoming school community where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential

How to Apply:
If you are a caring, motivated individual with a passion for early years education, we would love to hear from you. Please send your CV and a cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role to Lewis on 07486327865 or apply via our website [website link].
