Role Overview:
As an EYFS Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering an exciting and engaging curriculum to children in Reception. You will create a supportive and fun learning environment where children can develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Working in close collaboration with our team of experienced staff, you will ensure that every child receives a high standard of early education, laying the groundwork for a lifelong love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver a range of engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum
Support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children, creating a safe and positive learning environment
Build positive, trusting relationships with children, ensuring their well-being and encouraging their independence
Monitor and assess children's progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers
Promote effective communication, language, and literacy skills through play-based learning
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to learning
Support the planning and preparation of resources and activities to enhance learning opportunities
Foster an inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported
Participate in professional development opportunities to continue growing as an educator
Contribute to school life, including extracurricular activities and parent engagement
Key Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching in an EYFS setting (Reception or Nursery) or a solid understanding of early years education
A sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents
A patient, caring, and adaptable approach, with a passion for working with young children
Strong classroom management skills, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
A positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude
