Job description
Are you an outstanding Design and Technology Teacher looking for a new challenge in Leicester for a long-term position starting in November? Can you teach both Food and Textiles to GCSE?The school I am recruiting for are looking for a DT Teacher who would like to join an already successful team of practitioners. The school are looking for a passionate Food and Textiles teacher who can maintain high levels of learning within a positive and fun learning environment.
The job is a full-time position, teaching KS3 and KS4 in both Food and Textiles which starts in November. The school are looking for a passionate DT teacher to deliver high quality lessons whilst successfully inspiring and engaging students. Motivating students to strive to success and maintaining a healthy learning environment is an essential part of this position.
I have been working with this school for a long time and I have an excellent relationship with them. I have placed many teachers into the school. It is a Good-rated school based in Leicester set in a well-connected location just outside of the city. The school are passionate about staff work-life balance throughout the school.
As a full-time Design and Technology teacher the school will expect you to essentially be a permanent member of staff so the following is expected to;
«Teach Food and Textiles to KS3 & KS4 level.
«Have a detailed knowledge of the curriculum.
«Have high standards of communication and the ability to work as a team.
«Assess, mark and plan lessons.
«Assess achievements of pupils.
«Provide progress reports and attend parent's evenings & dept meetings.
