Hodge Hill win enterprise competition “safely”

Students from Hodge Hill Sports and Enterprise College brush up on their business skills in a nationwide enterprise competition.

Hodge Hill Sports & Enterprise College teamed up with CragRats to organise a ‘Dragons Den’ themed enterprise event for Year 7 students. Pupils were tasked with the challenge of creating a new and exciting product of their choice. Within this they had to design a unique advert marketing the product and then launch and present it to staff and students in the school.

Winners from schools across the country were placed in to a draw.  Hodge Hill pupils won first prize winning, £50 worth of vouchers each.

The winning team called “Team Express", consisting of 6 members Danyal Hussain, Mariyah Saeed, Asalah Ahmed, Nafeesah Nabi, Nafi Choudhoury and Safar Mohammad were over the moon to have won.

Team Express came up with a  unique idea of “Safe Bike”. It featured lots of gadgets like a built in mp3 player , Satnav and a wristband which the cyclist would wear. The band cleverly informs the cyclist if their bike is being tampered with. Further to this, it cleverly featured  voice activation controls so that the cyclist never has to take their hands off the bike.
