Aspire People supply support staff to schools across the West Midlands and are looking to recruit talented and experienced Science Technicians to work in the Primary and Secondary on either a Temporary or contracted basis
Experience is essential. The positions we work on can vary, therefore you may be called for short or long-term cover. Occasionally we do deal with casual day cover. You will be determined, enthusiastic and driven!
To be able to be considered for such positions, applicants must either have a CRB that is dated within the last 12 months or be willing to pay for a new application at the cost of GBP48.00
Duties will vary from school to school, an example of some duties are as follows:
1. Coordinating work within the laboratory
2. Adhering to all Heath and Safety procedures
3. Working with individual students and supporting them on research projects
4. Giving technical advice to staff and students
5. Ensuring the equipment is cleaned correctly and stored away in the correct
manner
6. Managing stock control
7. Preparing equipment and chemicals before lessons
