Aspire people are looking to register a School Food Technician to work in a Secondary school in Coventry Monday to Friday on a On going basis. Applicants must be able to travel to Coventry and must have a CRB dated within the last 12 months.
Relevant experience of working in a school is not essential but would be a advantage
Duties:
Produce registers and mark sheets for the Technology department and
termly teachers plan sheets for food and textiles.
* Update grades, test results and levels on the departmental database.
* Put photocopy requests in to be printed and collate Food/Textiles exam
papers.
* Send orders for the Food/Textile areas and check and store stock as it comes
in.
* Keep track of the finances within the Food/Textiles areas.
* Collect in, record and bank any money from pupils. Record on master
registers.
* Liaise with the Food Technology staff on the practical work being done each
week, generate shopping lists and buy ingredients.
* Weigh out ingredients for practical food lessons.
* Be responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the Food and Textiles
equipment.
* Cut up basic amounts of fabric for Textiles students.
* Mix up dyes that are needed for Textiles.
* Replenish stationery supplies in the Food and Textiles rooms
* To be fully aware of and understand the duties and responsibilities in relation
to child protection and safeguarding children and young people.
