A girls Secondary School in South Birmingham is looking for an English Teacher in September to cover an English Teacher on maternity. The role will be to teach English up to GCSE and ideally teach some A Level. Further to this the school are looking for an English Teacher who is willing to get involved in after school clubs, school activities and potentially take on additional roles of responsibility. Of course, the role will entail marking, planning and preparation. The secondary school was awarded an outstanding in their Ofsted and recently had an interim assessment to confirm they are still performing at that level. The English department itself is organised and supportive so NQTs are welcome to apply. In regards to newly qualified teachers I am yet to confirm whether you can start your NQT induction year, however this could be discussed on interview.
