This fantastic Mathematics Department within my Leicester City School enjoys an excellent reputation within the school and the local community. The department is looking for a colleague to teach across Key Stage 3 and 4.
All students study Mathematics from Years 7 to 11 and at GCSE all students take Mathematics with the more able also taking Statistics. In 2011 around 75% of students gained A* - C in Mathematics. Our results at Key Stage 3 are also impressive.
The Mathematics Department is well equipped and each full time teacher has his / her own classroom base equipped with an overhead projector for use alongside a laptop. We are currently reviewing both our Key Stage 3 and 4 courses in the light of the current curriculum changes.
The teacher we are seeking to appoint will be:
*NQT/QTS
*A graduate in a Mathematics related discipline
*An enthusiast for Mathematics and teaching
*Aware of current developments in Mathematics education
*Someone with the ability to inspire students
*Someone who can demonstrate excellent teaching skills
*Able to relate well to adults and students
*Interested in contributing to the extra curricular life of the school ICT literate
