Aspire People’s Promise

Aspire People’s success stems from a genuine belief in quality at a price that schools can afford.

Before we can provide this schools need peace of mind, a belief that we will do what we promise and if we don’t you will get your money back. We want you to trust in Aspire People, which is why we promise:

  •  In the inevitable event that a candidate arrives at your school for the first time and you deem them unsuitable they will be removed as soon as you inform us.  Of course, there will be no charge for this candidate as they will not have done a days work.
  •  If at any point a candidate is deemed as unsuitable after they have completed a days work, the cover co-ordinator will notify their education consultant. Aspire People will investigate the situation and if the candidate did not adhere to their code of conduct the school will be reimbursed for 1 day’s supply or ½ a day for am or pm bookings.

If a candidate does not adhere to both the school or our own safeguarding children policies the following will happen:

1.  The candidate will be invited in to the office to meet with the Head of HR, Daniel Dawkins and a Divisional Manager.

2.  Aspire People will conclude whether the candidate needs training, support and close monitoring or no longer suitable to work for Aspire People.

3.  If necessary, serious matters will be referred to the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA)

4.  The school will be notified of our conclusions in writing,  and confirmation of a  reimbursement for 1 day’s supply (or 1/2 a day if the assignment was just for the morning or afternoon)

Aspire People will offer a replacement solution, where possible a specialist, for any assignments that do not work out. Aspire People care a great deal about the development of all our staff and rely on honest and open communications. In some cases a candidate just needs extra training and support, which is followed up by our Assessor, ex-deputy head teacher Kim White, to ensure their development is transferred in to working practice. With Aspire People it’s not about making money but providing quality education, personable service and developing people.

The Qualified teachers we have had from Aspire People are always professional and of a very high standard in comparison to those tried from other agencies.”

Lorraine, Cover Co-Ordinator, St Thomas More RC School

“I really enjoyed the training, a very interesting and engaging module”

The Behaviour Managment Course was a very interesting and engaging module. I liked the honesty given from the trainer and it was great to be given example planning sheets. Thank you Aspire People”

Marvin, Primary NQT, Birmingham

“The Woodlands School gets vouchers from Aspire People, we put them towards prize giving for pupils”

I frequently recommend Aspire People. Sometimes to acquaintances looking for work, to our own staff looking to gain experience before a GTP qualification or for those looking for a permanent position.  The school received some vouchers from Aspire People which the Head of Science used to provide prizes for attainment for students of all abilities in science. Not only does the school benefit but the candidate we recommend and Aspire People.

Mr. Quigley, Deputy Headteacher, The Woodlands School

High Quality of Staff

Quality of staff is so high we recently took 2 Aspire cover supervisors on permanently - Aspire’s service is fast, efficient and professional, they have never let me down. I can text them at 7 for cover and when I get in to work there is an email notifying me of who is coming.

Mrs. Tye, George Spencer School

“A friendly and reassuring communication motivates me to do my best”

Adam Cox has been my consultant at since September 2013. His friendly and reassuring communication keeps me inspired and motivated to do my best at my assignments.  I get regular assignments almost every week and I cannot recommend him enough for his efficiency and skill as a consultant. His professional and courteous interaction and commitment towards me and other cover supervisors in Nottingham is evident. I find him extremely professional, efficient and consistent in his role and it’s a privilege to work for Aspire People.

Mrs. Mayer, Nottingham Cover Supervisor

“The quality of Aspire’s services are second to none.

I have used other agencies before and Aspire have always treated me with professionalism and respect. Alan’s attention to detail is meticulous. I have always found Al professional, approachable, knowledgeable, amenable and diligent in everything he does. Al, on several occasions, has gone out of his way to help and support me and make me feel a valuable part of the Aspire team. Thank you for what you do Al.”

Stella, Leicester Supply Teacher

“I was encouraged to do my PGCE”

Having started as a cover supervisor, Aspire People actively encouraged me to qualify as a teacher and advised me which course to choose.  After gaining my PGCE, I had no hesitation in working with them again as I knew there would be regular work and I would be treated professionally. Over the last three years I have been made to feel part of the team and have always felt supported through any difficult times I have had whilst working in education.

I have been in work more or less everyday

My consultant, Mark Birmingham, ensured I was in work more or less everyday.  All the placements I had were at nice schools, within a reasonable travelling distance – Mark always checked whether the schools were appropriate for me to travel to before waking me up!!  A lot of my earlier placements had been day-to-day, which sometimes led to weekly placements at schools.

Shahida, NQT Supply Teacher, Birmingham

I don’t feel pressured to go to work when I have other elements to worry about such as Univeristy

Aspire People have really helped me find a number of work placements. My consultant asks for availability every week to ensure that I can work. I like the fact that I don’t feel pressured to go to work when I have other elements to worry about such as Uni. The other good thing is that I get calls and texts occasionally asking how I am and how I am doing with everything. It ensures that I’m happy and not uncomfortable. When I first joined I was given lots of tips and tricks for effective teaching. The good thing is I feel like with the advice my consultant gave me ensured that I could go out and have success with the different schools and lessons I’ve taught.

Brett, Cover Supervisor, Stoke-on-Trent

If it wasn’t for Aspire I don’t think I’d be completing my NQT induction

I am now completing my NQT year with a school I was introduced to through Aspire.  Mark offered me to do a placement at the school, and this led to the school offering me a position.  Had it not have been for Aspire, I don’t think I’d be completing my NQT year this year.  I’d definitely recommend Aspire to other NQTs looking for permanent work.

Yasmin, Primary NQT, Birmingham

I was very wary and nervous at the start, but my first day of work was great!

I worked with Aspire a few months, after graduating as a teacher.  I found it difficult securing a full time position and supply was recommended to me.  Like everyone who goes in for supply I was very wary and nervous at the start, but my first day of work was great!

Shahida, Primary NQT, Birmingham

“Aspire People don’t harass me like other agencies”

Aspire People take a personal approach, the staff have managed to achieve that fine balance of being readily available to be contacted but not being constantly harassing every morning.

Mr. Kay, Cover Co-Ordinator, Finham Park School

Within one minute of sending my CV, Aspire contacted me for an interview

Aspire have been very influential in my career. After qualifying as a teacher, I was unsuccessful in securing a full-time teaching job. Within one minute of sending my CV, Aspire contacted me for an interview. They have been able to place me in a school on a long-term basis, which has been welcomed with gratitude. I am grateful and thankful to all of the team working for Aspire people, they are a great agency to work for. All members of staff have shown true professionalism and worked hard to ensure that myself and other colleagues who I have met through the agency are always working.

Steve, Secondary Teacher, Warwickshire

“Without their support I would not be the Cover Supervisor I am today”

“When I first applied for Aspire People as a Cover Supervisor, I had very little experience of working in schools. My consultant made sure I was fully aware of how to safeguard both myself and the pupils. I was even asked to complete a scenario based questionnaire this not only helped to highlight gaps in my knowledge but taught me precisely how to deal with a range of classroom issues.”

Sam, Cover Supervisor, Leicester

My consultant reflected the professional and personal qualities that Aspire People prides itself on

Right from when I registered, my consultant Emily reflected the professional and personal qualities that Aspire prides itself on. Emily understood my adaptability as a teacher but also my needs in terms of the type of school that would suit me. Clearly taking time to study the detail of my CV and skills and experience, this ensured bookings were appropriate for both myself and the school(s). I found Aspire People helpful, polite and dedicated. I recommended Aspire to a colleague largely on the basis of how Emily had presented herself and the agency.

Mark, Secondary Teacher, Staffordshire
